Qualifications/Requirements * Undergraduate: 4-year degree in Engineering/Science within an appropriate discipline * Minimum 2 years of product software development experience in a client/server environment utilizing a variety of technologies * Minimum 2+ years Perl experience * Comfortable with pair programming and code reviews * Familiarity with agile development * Experience with full software development lifecycle * Energized, passionate, change agent * Effective communicator * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time * Must be willing to work in our Seattle, WA facility full-time * Must submit application for employment through gecareers.com (or COS if internal) to be considered * Must be 18 years of age or older * Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process * Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work. Essential Responsibilities * Works closely with project team to identify development tasks related to stories and provides estimates within iterations * Accountable for delivery of code, unit tests, code coverage, tech doc inputs, and integration tests for each iteration * Works with technical leadership on implementation of designs and architecture * Communicates status, task issues, risks, difficulties and timeline constraints to key project stakeholders as they arise * Follows Enterprise Clinical Information Systems development methodology & process * Actively contributes to Iteration Planning and Retrospective Meetings * Contributes to daily progress meetings * Recommends refinement to the software lifecycle process to improve quality, time to market and cost of development
