Were seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineering Manager who has significant experience designing and managing project teams in complex applications. You will be responsible for the managing the team that writes server-side code as well as has front-end responsibilities. You will not only manage the team, but also program manage the projects and develop the processes that will enable us to optimize, scale and grow. Responsibilities: Manage the team that develops the server-side code for web-based applications Develop and maintain development methodologies, team standards and best practices Facilitate design and architecture changes with Senior SWE's and VP and CTO Coordinate with business product managers and client services to gather and maintain project requirements Estimate and meet timelines for development releases Work with QA to finalize releases, coordinate team to write release notes Serve as part of escalation path for operational emergencies Requirements: BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical degree 10+ years of combined development and management experience in teams designing and delivering complex, large-volume, diverse system applications Good experience with Object Oriented Perl, Oracle, SQL, Linux and/or Unix derivatives preferred Solid knowledge of development methodologies and project life cycles Strong analytical skills Excellent project management skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
