Based in West London, one of the UKs most respected e-commerce businesses are seeking a Senior Perl contractor to join its rapidly developing team. Working in its vibrant head office you will be joining this market leading online entertainment company As a Senior Perl Developer, your key objective will be implementing and maintaining existing and new products and services across all business platforms. Additionally your core responsibilities will include: To provide technical leadership and mentoring to other members of the development and wider technology teams. Contributing to the quality of delivery including the development, integration, test and release infrastructure To contribute to technical consultancy and advice to the technical and management teams as required It is anticipated that in order to be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate: Strong application development skills using object oriented Perl on Unix platforms Particular knowledge of Linux, Apache, MySQL or other widely used SQL database product SQL Scripting and Writing SQL code Experience of Select Statements and Database Joins Demonstrate understanding of emerging LAMP technologies Excellent communication skills We are looking for someone with a passion for Perl Development that wants to work in a fabulous environment.
