We are looking for an ETL and report developer to work in a data warehousing environment at one of SA's largest financial institutions. This is a flexible distance work position and a good opportunity to build your data warehouse and ETL experience. The development team is located in Cape Town, however occasional travel to clients in Johannesburg may be required. Responsibilities will include: * Communicating with business analysts to understand specifications * Development of SQL reports * Design and development of ETL scripts * Testing * Configuration management * Documentation * Some operational support of batch jobs in production The successful candidate will be quality-oriented, able to communicate effectively, open to new ideas and have a preference for using libraries and frameworks rather than re-inventing the wheel.
